Abednego Environmental Canada Ltd. (Oshawa)
Members at Abednego operate the wastewater facility at General Motors in Oshawa. These workers joined Local 222 in the summer of 2000. This unit was formerly known as Haden Environmental, Veolia Water & USF Canada.
AGS Automotive (Oshawa)
Workers stamp out and chrome-plate bumpers for the Chevrolet Silverado and the CK truck. Front bumpers are also plated for the Dodge Ram. These workers joined Local 222 in June 1989. This unit operates in the same building as Local 222 founding unit Skinners, which later became Houdaille. This unit was formerly known as AG Simpson.
Armada Toolworks (Lindsay)
Joined Local 222 in September 2004. Armada Toolworks is a plastic injection molding and zinc molding facility. They produce parts for Chrysler, GM, VW, Audi, Tesla, BMW, Nissan and Ford. The workers ratified their first collective agreement on May 28, 2005.
Canada Cartage (Oshawa)
The truck drivers at Canada Cartage in Oshawa joined Unifor Local 222 in March 2017.
City-Wide Taxi (Oshawa)
This unit was transferred to Local 222 from Local 1688 (Ottawa) in 2006. All taxi drivers for City-Wide in Oshawa are members of Local 222.
This unit was certified on December 16, 2003 and joined Local 222. They ratified their first contract in December 2004. These members are all licensed automotive service technicians and are under contract to General Motors to supply technical and diagnostic assistance to GM dealership technicians across Canada. This workplace was formerly known as Minacs.
Durham College Students Inc. (Oshawa)
These members are the support staff for student association at Durham College. They perform outreach services, administer the student insurance plan and engineer the radio station. These workers were certified by the Ontario Labour Relations Board on August 14, 2014. Once part of an association that covered both Durham College and UOIT, they split into two separate entities as of August 31, 2017.
Durham Region Transit (Durham Region)
On January 1, 2006, Durham Region Transit was created, amalgamating various transit divisions throughout the region including Oshawa Transit, Ajax/Pickering Transit and Handi-Transit. On February 10, 2006, a union representation vote was held and Local 222 became their bargaining agent. On October 30, 2006, after a 4-week strike, Durham Region Transit members ratified their first collective agreement. Local 222 represents the transit drivers as well as the maintenance workers, clerical workers and specialized services employees. Oshawa Transit had been a unit of Local 222 since 1987.

GDI Services Canada (Whitby/Oshawa)
These members joined Local 222 on November 15, 2012. Workers provide the cleaning services for the Whitby and Oshawa campuses of Durham College/UOIT.
General Motors of Canada (Oshawa)
On April 23, 1937, an agreement with General Motors was ratified by the membership and Local 222 became the bargaining agent for the union members. On November 26, 2018, GM made the announcement that they would close the Oshawa facility. Following a fightback campaign by our members, GM agreed to keep the plant open but will transition the facility from manufacturing vehicles to stamping and sub-assembly. However on November 5th 2020 a tentative agreement was reached with General Motors to bring truck assembly back to Oshawa. The agreement was ratified soon after. Starting In 2022 Oshawa will be producing light and heavy duty trucks in the Oshawa Assembly Plant.

Kerr Industries (Oshawa)
Our members customize vehicles for Dewalt, OPG and Intercon Security. Workers at Kerr Industries joined Local 222 in 1964, making them the second longest served unit in the Local.
Lear Corporation (Ajax)

Members at Lear Corporation in Ajax manufacture seats for the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) plant in Brampton. They became members of Local 222 in 2018.
Loblaw Distribution Centre (Ajax)
Joined Local 222 on September 23, 2008. Workers at this Ajax location operate a distribution centre for Loblaw. The members ratified their first collective agreement on April 6, 2009. This unit was formerly known as Logistics in Motion, Atlas Logistics and Americus Logistics.
This unit also represents the office and clerical workers at Loblaw in Ajax. These workers voted to join Unifor in July 2016.
Mercedes-Benz Durham (Whitby)
Workers at this Whitby dealership joined Local 222 on August 27, 2012. Local 222 represents the workers in the service department.
Mills Motors Buick GMC Ltd. (Oshawa)
Local 222 represents the automotive technicians, collision repair people, painters, car washers, parts personnel, service administration, service advisors and car jockeys. They joined Local 222 on October 26, 1965. This workplace was formerly known as Cliff Mills Motors.
Ontario Tech Student Union (Oshawa)
These members are the support staff for the Student Association at Ontario Tech University. Among other duties, these workers provide student advocacy and run the tuck shop. These workers were certified by the Ontario Labour Relations Board on August 14, 2014. Pilkington Glass (Whitby)
Workers at this Whitby plant provide specialty glass to the auto industry. They became a unit of Local 222 on October 31, 2006 and ratified their first collective agreement on June 7, 2007.
Premier Implementation Solutions (Oshawa)
Workers at this unit process and package fresh-cut fruit and vegetables at Del Monte in Oshawa. They voted to join Unifor in 2020.
PWTransit Canada - Operators (Whitby)

These members are the industrial cleaners and yard crew at the GM plant in Oshawa. They voted to join Unifor in March 2017.
St. Marys Cement (Bowmanville)
Members mine limestone from the open pit mine in Bowmanville and process it into raw cement (called clinker) and finished cement. These products are then shipped to companies in the United States and Canada. Workers at St. Marys Cement joined Local 222 in 1985. This workplace was also known as Blue Circle Cement.
Woodbridge Foam (Whitby)
Joined Local 222 on April 12, 1990. Workers at this Whitby plant produce the polyurethane-molded foam seats for Honda and Lexus.
